Besides administrative, financial and project management issues, the draft results for component 2, 3, and 4 as well as the state of EUROPLANE promotion activities were presented and discussed. The role of low-cost carrier Ryanair for regional airports

The highlight of the General Assembly were perhaps the 4 presentations from invited airport managers of "Ryanair Airports" Mr. Sirigu (Genoa Airport), Mr. Stutterheim (Groningen Airport), Mr. Weiss (Friedrichshafen Airport) and Dr. Steppe from Infratil (again, EUROPLANE partners can download these presentations in the restricted access section). All airport managers talked about their experiences with Low Cost Carrier Ryanair. They spoke about the code of governance of Ryanair, the requirements that are expected by Ryanair from the airports and the regions, but they also made a point on the advantages and problems that can occur in cooperating with a LCC.
